Yo Yo Yosemite’s BEST Websites to Build Your Half Dome Vacation

Gazing in Awe at Yosemite National Park

Time to look past the dull nps.gov site – who we love, but they have better things to do with their time and money, like chasing away garbage hungry, Twinkie loving bears and, oh, those pesky marijuana growers.

Visit these Yosemite sites. They’re as tantalizing as every travel website should be…

Just for the sheer eyeball-pleasure of it, this website is built with gorgeous, full page photos that make you drool and want to whip out your credit card immediately for your reservation. Also check out the PLAY tab – and their rock climbing lesson breakdown through Yosemite Mountaineering School. How cool is it that you can BE one of those rad dudes who cling to the side of El Capitan in those National Geographic shots: http://www.yosemitepark.com/rock-climbing-lessons.aspx

This site is your feel good, deeper connection to Yosemite. For all my friends who have honeymooned there (and so many of you did!) this is your chance to connect a little more to the place you love. The site also, has tons of info and I love the live shots from the webcams of El Capitan, Half Dome, High Sierra and Yosemite Falls. Can you see me waving?: http://www.yosemiteconservancy.org/webcams

Finally, the home-y Experience Yosemite site has a nice blog “Latest Yosemite News” on the home page of their site. Scroll down. I especially appreciate the “Hiking” page that details the actual hikes in the park (rather than the guides who can take you) so you can really compare and contrast and get a good sense of the burning feet/burning lungs level you’re getting yourself into while you build your visit: http://www.yosemite.com/things-to-do/hiking?page=1

This park is a bucket list must. Get on up there & enjoy!

Namaste & Three Cheers. –A
